How dependent are you really on God? The size of your life depends on how big your dependency of God is.Jesus says in John 15.5 ' I am the vine; you are the branches. " In other words, the fruit of your life doesn't come from you; it comes from Jesus, through you, like the life of the vine comes through the branch.
Answer honestly to the questions below and asked God just like David did in Psalm 26.2 ' Put me on trial, Lord, and cross-examine me. Test my motives and my heart.'(NLT)
Q1. In your everyday life, what do you worry about most? (This might be something that makes you anxious when you think about it, or when it happens you feel unsettled.)
Q2. At what point in worrying do you replace your faith with worry?( As soon as you start becoming unsettled, after you have tried to settle it on your own, not really you just keep on worrying until it stops)
Q3. What are the desires that drive your life? (write down at least 5 desires that move the decisions you make...and that dictate your actions; remember...be honest)
Q4. In what ways do you put Gods Kingdom second?
Q5. How often do you mention God everyday?
God places a premium on our trust and dependence on Him in all things. It is such a high premium that he has specific outcomes for those who depend on Him and for those who don't.
Read Isaiah 40:27-31, Jeremiah 17:5-8, and Zechariah 4.
Now that you have answered those questions, have a look at them and pray on the areas you have identified that you need to depend on God more.
List the changes you want to make and make an effort to change them by His grace!
